Places like Chick-fil-A have a variety of drinks, but they don’t always have many plant-based options. With a soy milk maker, you can create your own fresh, healthy drinks—like lattes, smoothies, or shakes—at home, saving money and making sure they’re exactly how you like them.

One feature I’m committed to is an all-stainless-steel interior, so that no plastic comes in contact with the heated milk, or with the acidic cold juices. So far, I’m looking at the Presto Pure, in part due to its large capacity (1.9L). But…it says not to use filtered or distilled water, and I’m not comfortable using our local tap water.
What’s a wanna-avoid-excess-packaging-but-not-make-things-worse vegan to do?!

First and the main thing to be remembered while buying such machine is its quality of working, what are the contents used for making such a gadget and so on, that determines the quality and taste of the soy milk produced by the maker. The operation must be simple so that anyone can easily prepare it. Thanks for sharing a good detailed post about all this. I am sure i will find my best machine here.

Using soy milk maker to create your own soy milk is cheaper than buying it from supermarket. Homemade soy milk is even more healthier because it is free of preservatives and additives. I got a soy milk maker in my home and everyday I create my own soy milk for my kids. They really like the taste and said homemade soy milk is fresher than the one they buy from canteen!

Actually soaking for 7-10 hours, draining the water, and letting the soybeans sit overnight in a muslin bag/plastic collander is the absolute best way of ensuring healthy milk. Why? Soaking/sprouting eliminates the proteins/enzymes that make soy a “potentially” unhealthy bean. Soy in Asia is only eaten as a fermented food. Most soy products sold in the US are made from dry beans and/or unfermented(non-sprouted) beans. Make your own if you want the best.
